{Beauty} Favorite Product of the Moment

With it's elegant packaging and sophisticated color, who wouldn't fall head over heels for Chanel's Rouge Coco Shine in Boy? The color comes out lighter than it looks in the lipstick but it's still beautiful all the same. I've went out wearing only this with no eye makeup on and I feel it pulls any look together and adds an instant bit of glamour to any outfit. The color could be wore with almost any eye look, natural or more dramatic. I find the color stays on my lips longer than most lipsticks. The packaging is typical Chanel, silk black with gold and the Chanel logo on the top of the lid. The lipsticks is also lightweight and could easily fit into any lipstick pouch in any bag. I find that I reach for this on days when I don't want to wear a lipstick and a gloss. This is the product which started my obsession with Chanel makeup. Let's say, once you start, you never go back. Next colors I want? Monte Carlo and Chance.

{Decorating} Vanity Plans

Lately, I've been thinking about re-organizing my vanity/desk area. I am planning on redoing my entire room within the next twelve months, but for now, my vanity is my main project. Ideally, I would love a white 'vintage-like' vanity, unfortunately for me, my vanity looks more like a desk. I really like the idea of my vanity being for something more than just an area to store my makeup.

The 'mirror affect' photo frames would add some instant glamour to any vanity. I've always wanted a matching chair for my vanity, something similar to the one in this picture. Another idea is getting fake white roses and placing them in a vase to add a little bit of 'softness' to the look.

I personally don't like having all my makeup on display, currently my makeup is being stored in boxes that are arranged by size on my vanity, though I would love to organize it into drawers by brand/section.

A/N: None of these images are mine, I'm afraid my photography isn't that good.

Do you have any ideas for decorating/redoing my vanity?

My Chanel Nail Polish Task

Lately, I've been wondering about my spending habits. I've made some stupid purchases over the past few months and I've decided to focus on saving and buying higher end items. Though, a shopaholic stills needs to do a little shopping while saving for their luxuries. I've finally came to the conclusion that I don't need to buy any more makeup, I only wear it at the weekends, and even then I don't wear it unless I'm going some where. So, I've decided to focus on nail polishes, Chanel nail polishes for that matter.

Over the next few months I've set myself a 'Chanel task' to collect nail polishes. I'm in love with Chanel nail polishes, even if I only own two, I love the colors and always get asked about them when I'm out and about. So far I only have 'Black Pearl' and 'Paradoxal', but here's my 'wishlist' for my 'Personal Chanel Task' [I'll tick them off as I get them]

  • Particuliere
  • Rouge Fatal
  • Peridot
  • Rose Cache
  • Rose Confidential
  • Blue Satin
  • Also, any limited edition nail polishes that appear in the seasonal [Spring/Summer/Autumn/Winter] collection
I would love to hear any color suggestions!

A/N: As per usual, I own none of the images used in this post, they belong to their rightful owners

Breakfast at Tiffany's

'I'm crazy about Tiffany's'

I decided to take a well deserved break from studying to take some time out to watch my current favorite movie 'Breakfast at Tiffanys'. I adore everything old Hollywood. It took me years to see this movie, when it was on TV I would always catch the end, or only get to watch ten or fifteen minutes before I would be forced out of the room by someone demanding to watch their reality TV. Though recently, I managed to pick it up on DVD, and ever since I've watched it multiple times a week.

'The only thing that does me any good is to jump in a cab and go to Tiffanys'

I also blame this movie for my latest catchphrase 'Cross my heart and kiss my elbow'.  I find this movie always helps me calm down after a stressful day. I dream of going to New York and having 'breakfast at Tiffanys' hopefully next summer, or the summer after that, my dream might come true. The next 'old Hollywood' movie I'm planning on buying is 'Cleopatra' I've watched parts of that, but being a three hour movie, and given the fact it's usually on at a horrible hour of the night, I doubt I'll ever get to see it all. And being the movie I believe made Elizabeth Taylor's career I think I should watch it, don't you? My 'task' for this summer is to watch all the good old Hollywood movies.

P.S. While looking through photos on Tumblr, trying to find some I could use in this post, I came across this one. Future daughters, please be aware that your crazy mother is going to dress you in this.

Currently dreaming about...

Lately, I've fallen in love with three brands: Mulberry, Anya Hindmarch and Salvatore Ferragamo. Over the past few weeks my wishlist has grown for these three brands and I decided there was no better place for document it than my new blog!

I have fallen in love with the Alexa bag from Mulberry. I have two colors in mind, either black or foggy grey. Though I do think I might get a Mini Alexa in the future in a brighter color, something that pops as I would probably use it as a summer bag for when I don't have very much to carry.
No surprise here, another Mulberry bag on my wishlist is the Bayswater, I'm undecided on the color. I don't want to get it in oak, as every Bayswater I've seen around here is in that color, a part of me what's to get it in a chocolate brown or black when another part of me what's to get something light or a pop of color, like a pink or purple. I guess only time will tell.
I've fallen head over heels for the Anya Hindmarch Valorie Clutch. I've looked at it a few times in store and have finally decided that I want the pinkish/silver one. It actually reminds me of Teenage Dream from OPI. I think the size of this clutch is perfect and could easily be used daily.
Another Anya Hindmarch clutch that is gracing my wishlist is the Marano clutch. I've been a fan of it ever since I saw the lovely Catherine Middleton carrying it a few months back. This is another one which I'm undecided on, at least color wise. Though I've also seen this one in store and rather liked the gold one, though I think I would like it better in a darker color. Though who knows?
Lately, I've fallen out of love with Christian Louboutins, don't ask me why, I have no idea. Though when I fall out of love with one thing, I instantly fall in love with another. Christian Louboutin has now truly been replaced by Salvatore Ferragamo. I adore the look of the Varas, which can be bought as flats and at various heel heights. A must in my mind, I plan on picking them up in either nude or black.

A/N: None of the images in this post are my own.
